If you are purchasing tune files only you will be asked to provide us with your Serial Number and Authorization code. To obtain those, please follow the directions below.

How to get Serial Number/Authorization Code 

  1. Make sure to have EFI Live Scan and Tune installed.
  2. Plug in your AutoCal.
  3. Open EFI Live Scan and Tune.
  4. On the left hand side, click on F7: Licenses.
  5. A new window will open. Click F3: VINs.
  6. At the bottom on the right hand side, click the button that says Copy Serial and Auth Code. Nothing on the screen will change.
  7. Open your email.
  8. In the message section, right click and hit Paste. 
  9. You should now see the Serial and Auth Code.
  10. Send that email to [email protected].

If you have purchased a VIN License, please follow the directions below to activate it. 
How to update AutoCal with new License

  1. Make sure to have EFI Live Scan and Tune installed.
  2. Plug in your AutoCal.
  3. Open EFI Live Scan and Tune.
  4. On the left hand side, click on F7: Licenses.
  5. A new window will open. Click F3: VINs.
  6. Enter the Activation Code provided in your email from us.
  7. Change the License Number to match what was sent in your email.
  8. Click Activate VIN License.

It is important to have a copy of your stock ECM and/or TCM file incase you need to return the truck to stock for any reason. Please follow the directions below to pull the stock ECM file from your truck. *Please note, you can not pull a stock file on an LML*
How to read your stock file

  1. Plug the AutoCal into your truck.
  2. Turn the key to the Run Position, but do not start.
  3. Toggle through the options until you see Read.
  4. Choose the correct ECM Controller Code (see below) and click OK.
  5. Follow the directions on the AutoCal.
  6. Once finished, unplug the device. It can now be taken to your computer to upload the stock file.

After pulling your stock file from the truck, please follow the directions below to save it onto your computer.
How to save your stock file to your computer

  1. Make sure to have EFI Explorer installed.
  2. Plug in your AutoCal.
  3. Open EFI Explorer.
  4. Box 3 will have several folder in it. Make sure the Read file is selected.
  5. Box 4 will then show your stock file that was saved from the truck. Highlight it.
  6. Use Box 1 to choose where you would like to save the stock file to.
  7. Once it is highlighted, drag the file from Box 4 into Box 2. Your stock file is now saved to your computer.
