The OEM system uses two nuts that commonly loosen over time, potentially entering the combustion chamber and destroying the engine. S&B’s Grid Heater Delete Plate, paired with the S&B Intake Air Heater, replaces this failure-prone setup with a far more reliable coil-style heater. This design not only improves reliability but also reduces airflow restriction—resulting in a more dependable, better-performing engine.
