Reviews

  • I have a 96 f250 7.3 intercooled with 160k on it. Previous owner says it is set in the tow tune with edge programmer, however the screen is cracked so I am unable to set it back to stock. Would I still be able to use the 8 position arachnid switch.

With switchable chips, the trucks PCM has to be returned to stock before a PCM mounted chip is installed.  If you cannot do this with your programmer it may need to be reflashed with IDS.

  • 1996 F250 7.3. The truck has 272k on it. It has a ts 6 position chip in it and I wanted to get something newer. A friend had a edge tuner we unplugged the ts chip and then tried to install the edge tuner with the orb port. No start with the edge or without the ts unplugged. Plugged back in the ts and it ran fine. What is going on should it start without the ts plugged in? Would your Quadzilla chip work in thi truck?

Was the edge tuner on the truck when you reinstalled the TS? The no start condition you had sounds like it was caused by the Edge.  We do not suggest “stacking” performance modules.  The Quadzilla will totally work with your truck as well, its functionality is much the same as the TS, with Quadzillas tuning.  Good stuff.
