The factory CP4 pump on the 6.7 Powerstroke has a reputation — and not a good one. The SPE Motorsport CP3 Conversion Kit was built from the ground up to eliminate those issues while keeping vital engine systems operational.

We reengineered the fuel system by moving the pump out of the valley and driving it via a proper ratio Pulley and serpentine belt. This improves access, and cuts install time. For decades there have been PTO pumps, compressors, and extra fuel pumps driven by serpentine belts on diesel engines; the 8 rib belts are easily up to the task. The testing has been done over decades and millions of miles. Proving the reliability of the serpentine drive system!

Unlike other pump setups, our conversion doesn’t suffer from timing issues or excessive load on the crank gear. That means less stress, fewer headaches, and better long-term durability — especially important for hard-use applications. The last thing you want is a catastrophic engine failure due to the crank gear slipping. When this happens the cost of a fuel system will seem cheap. We move this load to the snout of the crankshaft so it is no longer being driven by an interference fit timing gear. The slipping timing gear problem for the 6.7 needed to be addressed and fixed, not made worse!

The real win: this is a 100% factory replacement system. No tuning is required. Thanks to the way we designed the drive system and fuel routing, everything works seamlessly with your stock calibration. No extra wiring or jumpers, and all of the factory fuel lines are retained!
