The installation of the brass elbow permits turbo boost pressures of greater than 20 psi without the waste gate opening. This goes in the waste gate feed line on the turbo, which is located on the face of the turbo. Boost elbow is highly recommended for all trucks with a stock turbo looking for more boost, especially those with fueling modifications.

Due to the increase of more constant boost it is suggested that a performance air filter be installed in the vehicle to accommodate the extra flow.

Elbow will allow you to build around 10 psi more boost than stock.
I'm told it will not fit a 2000 with an automatic. Some things I read says it will just not a 2001. When I look at mine it come out straight with 1/8 pipe thread but there is plenty of room if I added a hose a few inches longer. If the elbo is 1/4 pipe thread there is still room for an adapter. Is there another reason it will not work?

1994-2004 Dodge Cummins with Manual Transmissions.
I have a 98 cummins 12 valve with 400000 on it. Will it harm the motor any or possibley raise boost to much where it might blow a head gasket. Just looking for a little more pulling power. The truck is a used for welding so I have some weight on it. I'm right at 8800 lbs.

No, it will just let you build more boost than stock.
If I add the boost elbow to my 01 3500 cummins would it cause a check engine light to come on or anything. Also if I add this elbow would I need to add a boost fooler along with it?

The boost elbow should not cause a check engine light. No, the boost elbow is the boost fooler.
On a stock 5.9 24 valve Cummins would the increase in boost due to the edge elbow be to much for my stock Cummins parts? I only have a new intake manifold and a edge comp box

No, it will raise the amount by 10 psi and should not be harmful to the motor.
