One of the most frequent issues associated with these trucks is that of a dead pedal, or random surging stemming from a problematic throttle position sensor (accelerator pedal position sensor). A "dead pedal" as well as diagnostic trouble codes are common symptoms of a faulty sensor. This sensor is a direct replacement APPS for the 1998.5-2004 trucks where the APPS. This sensor is designed for applications where the APPS is mounted under the intake horn on the driver side of the engine. Fits both automatic and manual transmissions.
Note: Will not fit on 2004 applications where APPS is located under battery

Note: Installation of this sensor REQUIRES a ScanTool or DVOM for proper adjustment, this is not a simple "Plug-n-Play" swap. There are a few things that could cause this issue. The APPS sensor is one of those.
