The Industrial Injection Viper PhatShaft Series Turbos were designed to handle mild fueling upgrades to help increase overall performance and be perfect for towing, daily driving or street performance. The PhatShaft comes equipped with an extended tip 62mm forged milled compressor wheel and 360 degree thrust bearing. The PhatShaft utilizes the 68mm turbine wheel and is available in a 14 cm exhaust housing in which we modify the angle of the exhaust nozzle, maximize the wastegate ports, and enlarge the wastegate chamber for full wastegate travel. Like all PhatShaft turbochargers it is equipped with dual grooved high performance bearings and an adjustable boost elbow.

  • Would you recommend this Turbo for towing? My Rig 2006 dodge mega cab 5.9l, Fass fuel 95gph, rebuilt trans triple disc cultch, stock injectors, stock CP3, ram air intake, K&N cold air intake. I use this truck to tow my 4 horse living quarter trailer and 32ft camper, in the mountains of TN. Towing around 12000. I am wanting to ensure that I can take my family on road trips and fell like I can take it anywhere. I am thinking new turbo, banks exhaust brake, exhaust manifold. What do you think?

    What tuning are you using? 62mm is bigger than a stock turbo, it could be slower to spool with stock fueling.
