Heat in the 68RFE transmission causes the stock thin cast channel plate to warp, causing cross leaks and poor shift performance. To combat this common issue, ATS designed a BilletProof Channel Plate: A stress relieved 1" thick aluminum tooling plate precisely CNC machined to include all valve body channels, vent holes, and even includes pressure testing ports with engraved labels. Critical channels have been enlarged to allow additional fluid to feed the clutch packs ensuring a quick fill time. The ATS BilletProof Channel plate for the 68RFE works with both stock transmission pans, as well as aftermarket deep pans. This BilletProof Channel Plate can be installed in any 68RFE transmission. A crisp, smooth, strong shift quality will be immediately noticed after installation of the BilletProof Channel Plate and all of the problems that are associated with cross leaks will be eliminated. We also recommend you install the ATS laser cut separator plate and gaskets when installing the BilletProof Channel Plate, 2007.5-2011 PN: 3030322326 / 2012-2018 PN: 3030322380.
