ARP has provided an extra measure of security in the form of extra-strong head studs manufactured from the firm's proprietary Custom Age 625+ material that has a minimum rating of 260,000 psi tensile strength. They are engineered to provide the clamping force required to keep cylinder heads from lifting due to exceptionally high combustion pressures.

ARP 247-4204 Features:
  • Custom Age 625+
  • 260,000 psi Tensile Strength
  • 12-Point Nuts
  • Includes Washers

Socket Size(s) 14mm 12pt, 5mm Allen

It’s a proven fact that OEM head bolts are the weak link in a diesel engine; especially if the engine has been modified. Diesel engines are all assembled using “Torque To Yield” bolts and any increases in combustion pressure can lead to problems like blown head gaskets or catastrophic engine failure. ARP's Diesel Head Stud Kits are designed for higher clamping loads and much safer and stronger than OEM. They are available in several different strength materials to safely handle applications from performance street to all-out competition.
