Industries such as mining, oil refinery and forestry require some vehicles to have an emergency engine shutdown in place - the most effective method for this is to cut the air supply to the engine ensuring fuel ignition to cease. With BD's emergency shutdown system, a butterfly valve is placed inline in the air intake system and when activated, a heavy Duty electrical solenoid trips a locked safety cam causing the engine to shutdown within seconds, resulting in a safe effective shutdown.

The Emergency Engine Shutdown butterfly valve design simplifies the number of parts and reduces the overall size as compared to competitive units and uses aluminum and stainless components plus weatherproof electrical connectors to prevent corrosion. Easy installation with bead boot locks - no need for welding. Standard applications include over-speed electronics and CAC pipes included for some vehicles.

When you need an emergency engine shutdown system, then BD has the solution that is hard to PASs up. We use an in-line butterfly valve which is activated by a heavy Duty electrical solenoid to shut an engine down within seconds.

The exclusive locking lever prevents closures from vibration and the electrical solenoid must be engaged in order to close the butterfly.

Exclusive innovative bead boot lock design to keep the included rubber boots securely in place under high boost pressures - easy to install with no welding required.

Compact butterfly design only adds 3-inches of height on top of the pipe as compared to guillotine style valves that can double that! Boots and clamps included in the kit.
