A History with a Purpose: TO
GO FASTER
Bully Dog was formed in 1998 in Aberdeen, Idaho. The founders
of Bully Dog - Michael, Phillip, and Daryl Klassen were heavily
influenced by their father Harold's interest in improving
vehicle performance. The desire and the need to go faster
was introduced to the guys at a very young age. Several years
prior to the company's inception, Harold has experimented
with increasing performance on his diesel farm tractor by
injecting propane into the engine's combustion chamber.
Most all racing has been born out of some real purpose, getting
things done quicker can make our lives easier. In 1998, Bully
Dog's owner took this concept and developed and patented a
safe and effective propane injection system to enhance diesel
engine performance. These systems were first sold out of their
farm shop, but as demand increased, the owners moved their
company to another location and officially organized Bully
Dog.
Bully Dog's new purpose would drive them to become very accomplished
engineers. Advancements in electronically controlled diesels
really opened the door for Bully Dog to out tuner the competition.
Thus Crazy Larry, our legendary race tuning, came out in about
2006. Shortly after, government regulations were administered
that made Crazy Larry go away for a while. However, history
has proven that you can't keep a good dog down. The owners
of Bully Dog still have a desire to get out there and compete
to be the fastest so... Crazy Larry is coming back to the
race track. |
