Product Name: AirDog II 4G - 2011-2016 Ford Powerstroke 165 GPH (Replaces High Pressure Pump) - A6SABF489
Manufacturer: Airdog
Manufacturer Part #: A6SABF489
Thoroughbred Diesel Part #: PFTA6SABF489
Fitment Notes: 2011-2016 Ford Powerstroke

The advanced 4G technology offers protection and performance like never before! Our patented air separation, along with a water separator and fuel filter makes sure your expensive injection system components get all the clean fuel they need. The AirDog® II-4G also overcomes loss of power due to driving in higher altitudes. The AirDog® II-4G System Improves Engine Performance by eliminating spray pattern disruption due to air entering the system. This allows the engine to keep its designed injection timing which allows a more complete burn of the fuel entering the cylinder. This increases overall engine efficiency across the power and torque range!

This is the AirDog II-4G DF-165 fuel system for the 2011-2016 6.7L Powerstroke. This replaces the factory frame rail fuel pump. This system mounts to the frame rail using the supplied sandwich plate mounting system. The suction side hooks up to the factory suction line on the frame rail. The pressure side connects to the factory feed line to the injection pump. The AirDog Air/Vapor return is sent back to the tank through a return “y” that ties the AirDog return to the factory engine return. This is a 165GPH (Gallon Per Hour) fuel system for moderately modified trucks. Check out our installation manual for a list of parts that are included with this kit.

How AirDog® Works

All Diesel Engines Need a ‘State of the Art’ Fuel Filtration Delivery System!

The solution for diesel performance is the AirDog ® Fuel Preporator ®. It is the only filtration delivery system that separates air from the fuel, as well as water and particulates. This fuel system maintains the proper pressure flow to the transfer pump, eliminating cavitation and vapor. The Fuel Preporator significantly improves diesel engine performance and is one of a very few aftermarket performance modifications to be CARB certified and approved for sale and use in California.

3-5 days typically. Depending on your address.

  • If I daily drive my stock truck will running an AirDog 150 or AirDog II 165 4G hurt anything?

    Brad Smith | 5/22/2019

No, it will not hurt anything. With the Original AirDog’s High Flow return all excessive fuel not being used by your truck will be returned to the tank. When running the AirDog II 4G the Demand flow only allows the pump to send what fuel is needed to the injection pump, and all other fuel is recirculated internally in the base returning it to the suction side of the pump.

  • What is the difference between and Original AirDog and AirDog II 4G?

    Austin Davis | 5/22/2019

The AirDog II 4G aside from having the adjustable regulator, the pump and base assembly are designed different internally. The pump assembly has a Dual Inlet design allowing more fuel to flow into the Gerotor, this allows the pump to increase volume without having to work any harder. The base on the AirDog II is also much different. Internally the fuel is redirected through passageways after being pressurized, this allows less fuel to be returned to the tank and more fuel to be held in the filters for a true “On Demand” system. An intermediate shaft was also incorporated to completely separate the electric motor from fuel path along with an additional two bearings to reduce drag and increase reliability and lifespan of the AirDog II 4G

  • What kits will require dropping the tank or installing a suction tube?

    Bob Turner | 5/22/2019

All Original AirDog 150, AirDog II 200 Systems and AirDog II 165 Dodge Systems. Any truck that is equipped with an in tank fuel pump will require a suction tube or module upgrade kit

  • What AirDog pump do I need for my truck?

    Dennis Schwartz | 5/22/2019

Original AirDog and AirDog II 100 units are recommended for up to 500 horsepower. Original AirDog 150 and AirDog II 165 units are recommended for horsepower up to 1000. AirDog ® II 200 units are recommended for anything that exceeds 1000 horsepower.
