Example
of setting up the tool: You adjust the TCC loc- up while
driving the truck. Drive the truck to 30 MPH and hit the up arrow
to set the lock-up speed, then slow down to 15 MPH and hit the bottom
arrow to set your unlock speed at 15 MPH. When you start out from
now on as soon as the truck hits 30 MPH the converter will lock
and will remain locked until the speed drops down to or below 15
MPH. The unlock speed can be set as low as 5 MPH.
Installation
is cutting the TCC lockup wire and splice in, and putting a few
T-Taps inline (VSS). Not for the electronically challenged. This
is not simple plug and play. You don't need to be an electronic
engineer...but if your afraid of cutting a wire you should contact
us for installation.
Capable of reading
and displaying transmission temps. Sending unit or probe is NOT
included. Any standard electronic sending unit from Autometer
(or similar) will hook to the included temp probe wire that comes
off of the TS wire harness.
Has an ON/OFF
function.
Sets up one
of two ways. "ON" each time you start the truck, or.....
"OFF" each time you start the truck. Manual control can
over-ride settings, if it is set to "ON" each time you
start the truck, you may simply hit the manual "OFF" button
to power the unit down.
