The
valve body controls gear selection, line pressure (clamping
force), line rise (meeting torque demand), converter mode, flow
and pressure, along with shift timing and quality. The Sun Coast
valve body addresses all of these areas to enhance transmission
operation and durability. The Sun Coast valve body allows for
crisper shifts, enhanced converter operation, cooler operating
temperatures, and increased lube flow. Full time converter feed
assures lube flow while in the park position and under high
throttle conditions. Torque converter clutch loc-up can be achieved
in all forward gears when used in conjunction with a controller.
This feature is desirable for optimum exhaust brake operation.

The
valve body controls the shifting of the transmission. The computer
controls when the valve body shifts the transmission. Our manual
valve body will give you full control of when the transmission
shifts with no delay as the electronic types do. Shifts will
be precise, quick and firmer than any electric shifted valve
body. We can build our manual valve body to have the standard
forward shift pattern or a reverse shift pattern. Now why would
you need a reverse pattern? No need to worry about slamming
the shifter towards neutral or reverse.
You
can also add a air shifter to shift 1-2 and 2-3 then call
lock-up and 4th with toggles or a electronic device off of
MPH/RPM’s. The Dedenbear’s 3 speed CO2 shifter
makes both 1-2 and 2-3 shifts automatically at any preset
rpm. By installing the largest solenoid ever fitted to a shifter,
they have created the fastest shifting 3 speed unit on the
market. Engineered to work with the Chrysler reverse pattern
automatic transmissions. No modifications required. Just bolt
this pre-assembled unit to the back of a Turbo Action Cheetah
shifter, plumb the air line, and attach two wires. All parts
are plated for corrosion resistance and professional appearance.
