The 1058 is probably the 2nd most popular converter we sell at SunCoast. This torque converter can be used for both towing and racing. It is 200 RPM higher than factory and works well with almost all mild turbo setups, this even shines with the stock charger.

With a stock charger, your vehicle will launch harder and, at part throttle, operate like a stock unit while driving normally. This converter will work with both 5 and 6-speed Allisons, alike.

SunCoast Allison 1000 torque converters come in many varieties, from heavy hauling, sled pulling, drag racing, to daily driving. SunCoast designs and manufactures their torque converters in-house. Because of this, SunCoast can supply most any request in regards to stall or torque multiplication. All SunCoast triple disc converters are outfitted with a heavy duty forged billet steel cover and give an unbeatable lock up performance. The company's race series converter should be used in racing/pulling applications that require a higher "stall" RPM than a standard converter. Increased stall is usually needed in applications where a larger turbo or turbos have been installed and more RPM is required to get the turbo on boost while on the brakes (brake boosting).

These HD converters feature a billet stator and will resist damage to the stator section from excessive brake stalling (over 5 seconds).

GM-1058-3D This converter is great for everyday driving with stock to medium size turbos and big HP tunes. It will brake stall at 2300 RPM, but still couples at cruising speeds. Shifts at 2000-2500 and you will see about a 500 RPM drop. This converter has no limits.
