  • I have a 1998 Ram 3500 I bought new, I'm getting ready to replace the entire cooling system. I don't use it for work or towing anything and drive it very little now. What thermostat should I put in it a 180 or 190 degree, I don't now which it one it came with ? It has just over 240,000 miles on it now, everything is stock on it. Would it make a difference which thermostat I use ? I live on the Gulf Coast lot of heat and humidity.

180 degree thermostat is stock replacement.

  • My 1999 Winnebago Chieftain motorhome use Cummins 5.9L diesel. I installed PN: 5292712 thermostat I bought from you. However it runs TOO hot and makes climbing hills very annoying; as I have to slow way down to avoid overheating especially when the weather is in the 90's. Once warmed up the engine temp stays at about 208 and climbing hills sets off the overheat alarm which comes on at about 212. Is there a lower temp thermostat available to fit this engine. Please advise.
