the weaknesses of GM trucks are the center-links and tie rods.
The OEM design causes the front tires to "toe in"
when the truck is under heavy stress during pulls in four
wheel drives. The reason for this is the curved ends. The
tires naturally want to pull in under the pressure. The center
link also rotates under this pressure and in doing so pulls
the tires in due to the curved design. This makes the truck
very unstable and parts break. To combat this issue, an aftermarket
straight centerlink, like the one from Sinister Diesel, can
be installed. With no curved ends on the centerlink means
no more “toeing in” problems. The center link
from Sinister eliminates all toe in problems when out racing,
pulling or just for everyday driving. This part adds rigidity
and input from the steering wheel to the tires. Check out
Rod sleeves as well. They make a great addition.
