Bully Dog Technologies has developed the premier system that increases
horsepower, torque and diesel mileage! When propane is used properly,
it will keep your engine cleaner with less carbon buildup and cleaner
oil. Propane is a high-octane fuel and burns slower and longer therefore,
propane will help diesel burn more thoroughly, increasing power and
torque. With propane your engine should last longer, get better fuel
economy and have significantly more power. By fumigating the intake
air with propane, there are dramatic increases in power, torque and
diesel mileage. By using a dual stage regulator and drawing vapor
from the tank, this system creates one of the most user friendly,
maintenance free systems available. With this system, exhaust temperatures
are only slightly increased and in many cases decreased. This system
can be adapted on any turbocharged diesel and is easily transferred
from vehicle to vehicle. The Propane
Kit does not include the tank. |
| PROPANE:
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The Bully Dog Propane
Injection System works laterally to give an increased distribution
of propane as the RPM increases. Propane is siphoned from the bottle
while in vapor form, from there the propane passes through a specially
designed regulator which meters the appropriate amount of propane
to be mixed with the incoming oxygen and diesel fuel. The oxygen
is supplied via the air coming into the intake, at which point the
propane is injected through a port mounted in the intake tube where
it mixes with that incoming oxygen. Once this mix is introduced
with the diesel fuel in the combustion chamber it is ignited, the
result is a hotter and more effi cient burn resulting in additional
horsepower with little wasted, un-burnt fuel thus making the engine
more effi cient. Through this process the engine is put through
less stress resulting in lower exhaust gas temperatures, better
fuel economy and extended engine life.
INTEGRATED
SAFETY FEATURES:
On turbo charged engines,
the boost pressure sender is used so the fuel lock off will not
let any propane through until the engine has 7 psi of boost. On
naturally aspirated engines, the oil pressure sender triggers the
fuel lock at the appropriate pressure point. These systems help
prevent propane from entering the engine until needed.

WHAT DOES
IT DO TO FUEL ECONOMY?
Fuel economy should go up at least 20% minus the propane used, which
should be less thatn the amount of diesel used. Overall cost per mile
should go down significantly!

Installation may take two to four hours depending on vehicle and tank
