Access all 5 gears and control Overdrive with a tap of your finger just like the new 6.7L powered trucks do. Utilizing factory connectors the TapShifter gives the ability to select the gear you want. Controls your converter lock-up clutch for pulling heavy loads up and down hills or dyno testing, and, controls overdrive for in town driving or towing. Works great with engine retarders like BD's own VVB. Kit includes a new OE style 6.7L shift lever and mini / dimmable gear selection display. Works great with stock applications!

  • Hello,I have an 05 crewcab and have an Edge Platinum. The Tap Shifter plugs into the OBD port. My Edge Platinum plugs into the OBD port. Will there be a conflict with both systems connected on the OBD port? Also does the Tap Shifter system protect the engine from over-reving in manual mode? Does it offer any protection for the transmission (line pressures, converter lock-up, etc.)?I would like to install this system now that there’s a little more home time. Thanks. Mike

If you have to flash the ECM,  the tap shifter will have to be disconnected from the OBD2, other than that, you will be good to go.  It does not increase any line pressure or keep you from being able to over rev in a gear.  If you find yourself in one gear, the rev limiter will be your limit.

  • I have a sct monitor on my truck that plugins into my ob2 port will this still work?

This item will require the ODII port.  You would have to have a OBDII splitter to run both items.
