Air Cooler (CAC) design with streamlined external air passages
improves engine cooling while offering less fan noise and less
blade resistance, plus, improving engine power and effi ciency
of the radiator and air conditioning heat exchangers. Designed
through testing at 100+ psi turbo boost pressure and 500oF turbo
outlet temperatures, our extra thick cast end tanks with support
struts have integrity and long life without ballooning and cracking.
Micro Extruded Tube design is for applications producing 20-100
psi of boost pressure and inlet temperatures of 500+OF. The
tubes have a 0.025” wall thickness and designed enhanced
inner fi ns that add to performance and already strong support
structure resulting in a 95% heat conductivity transfer. No
cracking or separation occurred when tested at over 400 psi.
These
BD Diesel Cool It intercoolers feature 57 percent more cooling
surface area that will increase cooling efficiency to 90 percent,
compared to the stock intercooler with 70 percent. That equates
to a temperature reduction of almost 200 degrees F over the
stock intercooler! The larger inlet and discharge tubes provide
a significant increase that can flow over 1,500 cfm, while holding
pressure drop to less than 1 psi.
New
free flowing extruded core design has 36% larger intake
and outlet which results in a 1 psi pressure drop across
the cooler at 60 psi and 1600cfm.
Frontal
surface are of 756 sq. inches and a 2.75" thick heavy
duty cooler is 90% effective compared to the stock cooler
