On
the original 6.5 engine installation, the turbo down pipe is attached
and results in a crushed pipe. On the original 6.5 exhaust, there
are flow restrictions at the turbo outlet pipe and in the muffler.
The rest of the pipe is usually only a 2.75" diameter. BD's 3"
and 4" full mandrel bent aluminized pipe corrects the problem,
giving the engine what it needs; improved turbo response and high
airflow ability.
