removed trucks. The H&S Black Maxx tuner is capable of removing
the DPF and ALL related sensors if desired. You can remove your entire
EGR system, including the cooler or just simply switch it out without
throwing codes! With four different power levels, experience rear
wheel horse-power increases up to +175 over stock!
The
Black Maxx race tuner is part of the next generation of diesel
downloaders from H&S that offer everything a diesel owner
could want, all in one high-tech unit. Exclusive to H&S
Performance, the Black Maxx offers the flexibility of shift-on-the-fly
tuning, as well as giving you the ability to monitor vital engine
statistics at a glance. The full color, high resolution screen
allows the user to view up to four parameters at one time. Choose
from 20+ engine parameters including boost, transmission temp,
intake temp, fuel rail pressure, exhaust gas temps, plus many
more (varies depending on application). The Black Maxx comes
loaded with 3 power levels that can be changed at any time,
on the fly, and is sure to leave the competition in the dust.

With or
Without Pyro? More information on the pyro:
The Pyrometer connection is NOT necessary for the Black Maxx to function
correctly. It is used for gauge display and for one of the defueling
parameters. It will NOT harm your truck to run without a pyrometer
probe installed. We do, of course, recommend purchasing one for the
6.7 Cummins and 6.6 LMM Duramax so you can monitor your Exhaust gas
temperatures and set your defuel levels based on EGTs. Ford 6.4 Powerstroke
trucks will use a factory sensor in the manifold to monitor EGT. Ford
6.7L Powerstroke can purchase Part # 302202
or Part # 302201 to monitor EGTs.
DPF
Removed Warning! The
use of DPF removed tuning is intended SOLELY closed-course racing
use, and is not street legal in anywhere in the US. This product cannot
be used on any vehicle registered or certified for highway use. Please
take the time to check your local, state, and federal laws before
purchasing!
If
using DPF removed tuning, this tuner requires the use of Race Exhaust!
Do not leave the DPF on the vehicle if using DPF removed tuning
!!!
