2008-2010 6.4L Powestroke trucks come equipped with a Tire
Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). This system has a wireless
transmitter mounted inside each tire that senses pressure.
This pressure measurement is monitored by a computer in the
cab and will cause fault lights to illuminate if the tire
pressure gets out of a calibrated range, or a problem exists
with one of the sensors. This becomes a problem when non OEM
tire and wheel combinations cannot support the required factory
pressure calibrations of the TPMS system. Or for those wanting
to run two different sets of tires/wheels during different
driving conditions.
H&S Performance once again pioneers the industry by releasing
a tool to allow the end user to adjust the TPMS parameters.
This has never been done by an aftermarket company before.
With the H&S TPMS module you have full control over the
system, allowing you to change pressure thresholds or completely
shut the system off.
This module will plug in-line with your existing H&S tuning
device ONLY during TPMS adjustment. Once TPMS adjustment is
complete, it can be removed. Your H&S device will need
to have TPMS compatible software installed. Make sure your
H&S product is up to date by vising the H&S downloads
section here. Once updated correctly you will see a "TPMS
adjustment" option in the main menu options. Use the
onscreen instructions to walk you through the programming
process. |
